L’Jarius Sneed gives back at David Raines Community Health Center
MINDEN, LA (KTAL/KMSS) — Tennessee Titans cornerback L’Jarius Sneed is back in town. On Thursday, Sneed was at the David Raines Community Health Center Event to help raise awareness about healthcare.
The Minden High School and Louisiana Tech alum and two time Super Bowl champ was helping the community, but the day was about more than football.
“My families still here, everyone’s still here, I always love to come home, just to give back,” Sneed said. “It’s what I love to do, just giving back to the community. The drive, the health part of it, giving back, signing, getting kids autographs, physicals, all of the above.”
There were many people and kids lined up to meet Sneed.
“To the kids, just keep going. It’s not going to be easy. Life ain’t easy every day,” Sneed said. “Just put your hard work in and stay dedicated.”
Meeting Sneed was a big deal for many, and while that was one of the many exciting perks of the event, kids could also get free physicals needed to play sports.
“I wish mine was free when I was little, you know, it’s big,” Sneed said. “They’re giving back. Making these kids have free physicals, everybody can afford, that’s a blessing.”
And you never know, one day one of those kids may be the next one in Sneed’s shoes.
