‘With love and gratitude’: Funeral set for Baldwin Park officer killed in line of duty
Funeral services will be held Thursday for Baldwin Park Police Officer Samuel Riveros, who was killed in the line of duty while responding to a call last month.
“With love and gratitude, the Baldwin Park Police Department would like to share the details of the upcoming funeral services for Officer Samuel Riveros,” the Baldwin Park Police Department stated in its Facebook post.
The services will begin at 10 a.m. in Ontario and will be closed to the public, but can be streamed live on the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Facebook page.
The Police Department requested that flower deliveries be sent directly to the Toyota Arena at 4000 East Ontario Center Parkway, Ontario, CA 91764.

Deliveries will be accepted until 9 a.m. on the day of the service.
“We are grateful for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers from the community, our brothers and sisters in blue. Thank you for standing with us as we honor the memory of Officer Riveros,” the post reads.
Baldwin Park officer remembered for kind gesture to Freeman family
Riveros, 35, was fatally shot while engaging a man firing a rifle in a neighborhood near the 4200 block of Filhurst Avenue on May 31.
He is survived by his parents, siblings, niece and nephews.
“Our hearts are with his family and friends during this difficult time,” the Police Department stated.
