MDOT, Whitefish Township to host public meeting on potential M-123 reconstruction
Whitefish Township residents will have their chance to offer input on a possible reconstruction project on M-123.
The Michigan Department of Transportation and Whitefish Township officials will host a public meeting to discuss the potential project at 4 p.m. on Monday, June 23 at the Whitefish Township Community Center in Paradise.
The meeting will begin with a presentation about the project followed by a Q&A session.
The reconstruction will cover M-123 from O'Briens Creek to Whitefish Point Road. It is planned to take place in the summer of 2026 and rebuild much of the road along that stretch.
The work would include rebuilding pavement, replacing storm sewers and other improvements, such as a new shared-use path, sidewalk, lighting and more.
The project will cost about $3 million, with funding coming from MDOT.
